Samsung was well-known for their consumer electronics, however their presence in the printer market was minimal. A banner ad campaign and online 'Destroy a Printer' game directed users to a solution at a Samsung printer microsite. People also hate printers, so we gave them the opportunity to smash them.
Emails were sent to IT professionals acknowledging the frustration of printer problems, along with a link to this 'Destroy the Printer' online game. This game then provided a solution, inviting users to a Samsung printer microsite. The game became so popular and competitive, that someone in the Ukraine hacked the game, and set a ridiculously high score that no one could beat. Play the game >
